Along with the Remembrance Exhibition, an ‘Experience Remembrance’ for local schoolchildren and uniformed groups took place. Six ‘Stations’ with displays and volunteers led children through the themes of Conflict, Sacrifice, Freedom, Courage, Peace and Remembrance.
Commemorative Trees were planted at our schools with plaques provided by The Hunnaball Family Funeral Group, and it culminated in a Sunset Service to mark the end of the WWI Whitton Remembrance, with The Rt Reverend Dr Mike Harrison, Bishop of Dunwich, and The Worshipful Mayor of Ipswich, Cllr Jane Riley.
